U.S. regulatory status
Prescription required; dispensed by licensed pharmacies.
What it is
A 10-amino-acid peptide identical to natural gonadotropin-releasing hormone.
How it is thought to work
Pulses of GnRH tell the pituitary to make LH and FSH, which drive the testes and ovaries. Pulsed exposure stimulates; continuous exposure shuts the system down. Same receptor, opposite outcome.
Animations simplify biology for teaching. They are not a claim that this peptide works this way in people.
What the research shows
Its pulsatile biology is well established. Evidence for its specific use alongside testosterone therapy is limited and mostly observational.
Safety and considerations
Generally well tolerated. Injection-site reactions; allergic reactions are rare.
Our position
Used for axis preservation with testosterone therapy, and a perfect example of why rhythm decides the outcome.
