FOUNDATIONS OF LONGEVITY

The foundation comes first. Peptides come second.

Healthspan is built from daily inputs: sleep, food, movement, stress and relationships. Peptides can sharpen a plan that is already working. They cannot replace one.

Targeted therapies, including peptides

The four quadrants of care

Measurement: labs, DEXA, VO2 max

Foundations: sleep, food, movement, stress, connection

SIX FOUNDATIONS

What every plan is built on

Each foundation changes the biology peptides try to influence. Get these right and you may need fewer interventions; skip them and no peptide will compensate.

Sleep

Seven to nine hours of regular, dark, cool sleep. Most growth hormone is released in deep sleep, and poor sleep worsens appetite, insulin resistance and inflammation.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR PEPTIDES

Growth-hormone-axis peptides depend on healthy sleep rhythm. Fix sleep apnea and schedules first.

Nutrition

Protein at every meal, plenty of fiber and plants, and fewer ultra-processed foods. Steady blood sugar matters more than any single diet label.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR PEPTIDES

During GLP-1 therapy, adequate protein is the difference between losing fat and losing muscle.

Strength and movement

Resistance training two to three times a week, daily walking and some higher-intensity cardio. Muscle and cardiorespiratory fitness are two of the strongest predictors of a long life.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR PEPTIDES

No repair or GH-axis peptide builds muscle without the training stimulus.

Stress and recovery

Breathwork, time outdoors, rest days and limits on alcohol support a calmer autonomic nervous system and lower inflammatory tone.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR PEPTIDES

Chronic stress raises cortisol and blunts many of the pathways peptides are meant to support.

Metabolic health

Waist size, blood pressure, glucose, insulin, ApoB and liver fat form the dashboard that predicts heart disease, diabetes and dementia risk.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR PEPTIDES

Metabolic peptides are judged by these numbers, not by the scale alone.

Connection and purpose

Strong relationships, community and a sense of purpose are linked to longer, healthier lives in large population studies.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR PEPTIDES

Motivation and support are what make any plan last beyond the first month.

MEASURE WHAT MATTERS

If it is not measured, it is a guess

Before and during any therapy, we track the markers that actually change risk. Peptides earn their place by moving these numbers, safely.

Blood work: ApoB, HbA1c, fasting insulin, hs-CRP, IGF-1, hormones and kidney and liver function

Body composition by DEXA, so fat and muscle are tracked separately

Cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2 max) and blood pressure

Sleep, symptoms and how you actually feel day to day

The hypothalamus sends GHRH, a peptide signal, to the pituitary gland in short bursts.

Then, and only then, the quadrants
