U.S. regulatory status
FDA-approved to reduce excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Other uses are off-label. Prescription required.
What it is
A stabilized version of GHRH, the brain signal that tells the pituitary to release growth hormone.
How it is thought to work
It boosts the body’s own pulsatile growth hormone, which preferentially reduces visceral fat and liver fat.
Animations simplify biology for teaching. They are not a claim that this peptide works this way in people.
What the research shows
Randomized trials in HIV-associated lipodystrophy show reduced visceral and liver fat. Evidence outside that population is smaller.
Safety and considerations
Can raise IGF-1 and blood sugar, and cause joint aches, swelling and injection-site reactions. Not for people with active cancer or pituitary disease. Lab monitoring is required.
Our position
Our credibility bridge between metabolic and hormonal care: the only growth-hormone-axis agent with an approved fat-reduction indication.
