U.S. regulatory status

What it is
A large hormone made in pregnancy that acts on the same receptor as luteinizing hormone (LH).
How it is thought to work
It activates LH receptors in the testes, supporting testosterone production and sperm-making signals during testosterone therapy.
Animations simplify biology for teaching. They are not a claim that this peptide works this way in people.
What the research shows
Studies support preserving testicular function and fertility markers during testosterone therapy, and it is a long-standing fertility treatment.
Safety and considerations
Can raise estradiol and cause breast tenderness and mood changes; in women it can overstimulate the ovaries. Lab monitoring is required.
Our position
A reliable approved tool for axis preservation when it is indicated.
