U.S. regulatory status
Not an FDA-approved drug. Available through licensed compounding pharmacies with a prescription; ask during your consultation.
What it is
Glutathione is built from glutamate, cysteine and glycine. It is a natural part of every cell’s antioxidant defense.
How it is thought to work
It neutralizes reactive oxygen species and helps the liver process toxins and medicines.
Animations simplify biology for teaching. They are not a claim that this peptide works this way in people.
What the research shows
Low glutathione is linked with many chronic illnesses, but trials of supplementation, oral or IV, show mixed results on outcomes people actually feel.
Safety and considerations
Generally well tolerated. IV use requires sterile preparation and trained staff. Allergic reactions are rare. We do not use it for skin lightening.
Our position
A reasonable support tool, explained in terms of biochemistry and never sold as a cure.
