U.S. regulatory status
Topical GHK-Cu (copper peptide) is widely used in skin care. Injectable GHK-Cu is not eligible for compounding; FDA plans further advisory review.
What it is
A three-amino-acid peptide (glycine-histidine-lysine) bound to copper. Blood levels decline with age.
How it is thought to work
It delivers copper to tissues and signals fibroblasts to make collagen and elastin.
Animations simplify biology for teaching. They are not a claim that this peptide works this way in people.
What the research shows
Small clinical studies of topical products show improvements in skin texture and fine lines. Injectable use lacks good human data.
Safety and considerations
Topical use is generally well tolerated, though irritation can occur. Injectable use carries unknown risks.
Our position
Topical is lawful and useful today. Injectable is not offered.
