U.S. regulatory status
Not FDA-approved. Recommended (7–5) for the 503A list by FDA’s advisory committee in July 2026; FDA has not finalized that decision. Not currently offered.
What it is
A synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modeled on a pineal extract called epithalamin.
How it is thought to work
Lab studies suggest effects on telomerase activity and melatonin rhythm.
Animations simplify biology for teaching. They are not a claim that this peptide works this way in people.
What the research shows
Decades of Russian publications with very limited independent replication. It comes from the same research line as the other bioregulators.
Safety and considerations
Limited independent safety data.
Our position
Graded C because it has moved further through review than its relatives, not because the evidence is different in kind.
